Session 3: Tool Time, Monday Evenings

Skill Level: Intermediate + Beyond
Can’t find the perfect tool for your pottery? Make it yourself! In this class, Charlie will lead students in creating their own custom pottery tools using a variety of materials like clay, metal, wood, plastic, wire, and more. Through hands-on demonstrations, Charlie will cover creating signature stamps, texture stamps, throwing ribs, trimming and chattering tools, and more—plus, he’s open to requests! You’ll also have plenty of time to practice your throwing techniques.
By the end of the session, each student will have several custom tools of their own, with the knowledge and skills to make even more. Expect lots of weird tips and tricks! Join us on a journey of resourcefulness!
