Skill Level: Intermediate and Beyond

In this class, we'll learn to make a variety of useful lidded pots for the kitchen, along with the knobs and handles that make them work. We'll consider the functionality and aesthetics of different lids on boxes, jars, canisters, casseroles, butter dishes, and other forms, choosing the right style of lid for each pot.

Along the way, we’ll tackle glazing challenges and practice techniques to ensure a seamless fit between lid and pot. Possible projects include a sugar bowl, salt cellar, casserole dish, kitchen canister, and covered butter or cheese dish.
