Session 3: Big Coils, Monday Evenings

$290.00
Only 4 available

Monday Evenings, 6:30-9:30 pm

Class Dates: April 14, 21, 28; May 5, 12, 19, 26

Instructor: Nate Hood

Location: Sculpture/Handbuilding Studio

Skill Level: Intermediate + Beyond

Come and try your hand at working with coils and building a little larger! This class will focus on coiling medium to large functional forms, such as big bowls and planters, while allowing plenty of room for students to explore their own creative direction. We’ll be making coils both by hand and using an extruder.

We will primarily be working in the handbuilding studio, but there may be a coiled and thrown demo mixed in as well. Be ready to use your full 25 pounds of class clay, and possibly need to purchase more to complete larger projects. Come and create large jars, big boxes, or planters for springtime!
