Session 7: Intermediate / Advanced Sculpture, Thursday Mornings
Skill Level: Intermediate + Beyond
This class is designed for students with previous clay experience who are interested in creating free-standing sculptures, relief wall pieces, or other handbuilt projects. Class demonstrations and discussions will be directed by students’ requests. If students don’t have a clear direction, we will work to refine ideas and move forward.
The class will address creating reliable structures and finding solutions to solving a variety of sculptural building challenges, as well as intentional design, content, and aesthetics. Students will work with and test studio materials in the process of developing individual finishing techniques.
