Session 1: Wheel-Thrown and Altered Critters, Sunday Mornings
Skill Level: Intermediate + Beyond
Co-taught by wheel instructor Liz Paley and sculpture instructor Anna Schroeder, this class will explore ways to throw, alter, and combine wheel-thrown components to build sculptural animals. Along the way, you'll learn strategies for adding anatomical features such as eyes, noses, ears, mouths, paws, tails, feathers, scales--whatever structural or textural details your real or imaginary critter demands. Students should be able to comfortably center and reliably throw 1.5 pounds of clay.
Sunday Mornings, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
Class Dates: January 5, 12, 19, 26; February 2, 9, 16
Instructors: Anna Schroeder and Liz Paley
Location: Wheel Studio 2
